What Americans Listen to While Commuting

Americans still prefer to pay attention to typical AM/FM radio while traveling in their cars, based on a recent file from Edison Research study.

The research was based upon information from a survey carried out in November 2015 of 1,117 grownups in the USA that commute to work by auto.

Mostly all participants (97 %) say they pay attention to sound while they are driving, as well as 90 % of travelers claim they a minimum of occasionally hear AM/FM radio while in the vehicle.

Other common media styles consist of CDs (62 % pay attention to them a minimum of periodically while driving), digital reports (54 %), streaming Internet radio (42 %), streaming AM/FM radio (36 %), SiriusXM (32 %), audiobooks (19 %), and podcasts (17 %).

Over half (56 %) of participants say AM/FM radio is the audio format they hear most while en route to work.

Some 43 % of commuters claim that if they were required to choose just one audio format to pay attention to on the method to work, they would certainly pick AM/FM radio.
